Job Description- Role and Responsibilities

The Learning Source is seeking applicants for three different evening ESL Instructor positions in partnership with
Cherry Creek School District. Classes will take place at Eagle Crest, Cherry Creek, and Overland High Schools.
Each position is 12 hours per week, semester-based and dependent on class enrollments. Class schedules are
Mondays – Thursdays 4:30 – 7:30 pm. Responsibilities include:

  •  Provide direct instruction and 1:1 tutoring four evenings a week to students studying English as a
     Second Language.
  •  Implement curriculum tailored to English Language Acquisition.
  •  Assist adults in creating individualized education plans that meet their learning needs and goals.
  •  Engage adults with a range of skill levels using a variety of teaching and motivation strategies
  •  Work with volunteer tutors and provide assistance with curriculum, teaching methods, and materials.
  •  Perform daily record-keeping and data reporting responsibilities to The Learning Source. Track adults
     progress, attendance, and outcomes.
  •  Attend program team meetings as assigned by The Learning Source.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  •  Experience teaching adults and learners with diverse needs.
  •  Experience teaching English as a Second Language.
  •  Knowledge of education assessment tools – CASAS experience preferred.
  • Understanding of group instruction principles and classroom management.
  • Experience working with culturally and economically diverse communities and/or historically
    under served populations.
  • Experience working with volunteers.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  •  Adult Basic Education Authorization, or ability to obtain within three years.
  •  Knowledge of Adult Education Theory. Experience using database to track student information and outcomes
  •  Lifelong learner and self-starter committed to continuous program improvement and student outcomes.
  • Collaborative and professional team member.

Job Description- Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for teaching the morning Adult Basic Education/High School Equivalency classes at The Learning Source’s West location. The position is 9 hours a week, approximately 8:00 am – 12:30 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Provide educational and tutoring support to students preparing for the High School Equivalency/GED exams.
  • Implement curriculum tailored to all content areas of the High School Equivalency exam.
  • Assist students in creating individualized education plans that meet their learning needs and goals.

Job Description- Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and implementation of an infant/toddler and pre-school program at a school-based family literacy center. Maintains children's development records and fosters a safe and caring environment for the children. Position is Monday through Thursday, 6 hours per day following the school schedule. Occasionally, there may be extra hours on Friday.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

· Responsible for maintenance of a safe and clean environment for the children daily.

· Develop, implement and coordinate program activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers daily;

· Attend workshops, training's, and in-services as indicated by the Family Literacy Coordinator monthly;

· Communicate with parents concerning their children's activities, accomplishments and progress daily;

· Inform supervisor of any needs, problems, or accidents involving children in care daily

 

Qualifications and Experience

· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

· The ability to implement reasoning and problem-solving strategies

· Communication skills in staff/child/parent relations

· The upper body strength to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· Program Leader Certification preferred

· Minimum one year experience working with young children

Job Description- Role and Responsibilities

The Learning Source Marketing Associate is responsible for implementing marketing efforts across the agency.
This position will work closely with the Program and Development teams to help increase the agency’s visibility
within the community. Primary responsibilities include:

• Implementing agency marketing plan and monthly calendar of marketing strategies
• Assisting with social media efforts to create engaging and relevant content that increases organization
visibility across various platforms
• Assisting with social media ads and fundraising promotions
• Assisting with community fairs and outreach events
• Developing content for monthly staff/volunteer newsletters and quarterly partner newsletters
• Working with Development and Programs to develop marketing collateral and promote events
• Assisting with communication efforts for fundraising and staff events

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • College Degree and experience in marketing, communications, and or related field.
  •  Experience in a Nonprofit and/or education setting
  • Familiarity with various and communication platforms including: Constant Contact, Hootsuite, Adobe Illustrator, Social Media Platforms
  • Organized and good attention to detail
  • Self-directed and ability to work independently
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across programs and departments to support agency goals and outcomes
