ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Learning Source is seeking applicants for Family Literacy Lead Teacher positions in the Cherry Creek and
Aurora Public Schools. The successful applicant oversees general management of the learning center and is
responsible for adult student assessment (CASAS and TABE) placement and instruction, as well as general
volunteer management. The teacher also provides parenting workshops and coordinates PACT (parent and child
together) and Two-generation activities in coordination with the school staff. Adult instruction will be a

* Teach English language and/or ABE plus career skills preparation to parents of school-aged children in
an elementary school setting.
* Provide guidance to volunteers regarding curriculum, teaching methods, materials.
* Perform record-keeping and reporting responsibilities using computer-based program.
* Attend workshops, training and in-services as indicated by the Program Manager.
* Help foster an encouraging and supportive environment for volunteers by providing guidance in

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Learning Source East Site Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of this location, from outreach and recruitment, to instruction and evaluation of both High School Equivalency and English Language Acquisition programming. Position Description

The Adult Education Instructor teaches blended (ABE/ASE/HSE Prep) classes full-time within an embedded setting at CWEE, an integrated education and employment program that includes comprehensive services to help individuals sustain long-term employment. The Instructor plans, develops, and implements the Adult Basic and Secondary Education program curriculum. The Instructor provides information to learners about the three HSE exams, GED, HiSET, and TASC, and prepares them to pass those exams and transition on to the next step in their career pathway.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct group instruction and 1:1 individualized tutoring to students preparing for the High School Equivalency exam and/or post-secondary education and training.
  • Develop and implement curriculum tailored to content on the High School Equivalency exam.
  • Assess students’ skill level and educational history, and create individualized education plans that meet their learning needs and fit in with their long-term career goals.
