ELA Instructor

Role and Responsibilities

This position provides direct instruction in English Language Acquisition for one class for three mornings/evenings per week at Eloise May Library or Smoky Hill Library in partnership with the Arapahoe Library district and oversees student work in the Burlington English platform. Classes will be hybrid – 2 days in person and 1 day online. Prep time, meetings, and PD are paid. Additional duties include tracking student attendance and progress, administering standardized testing, reporting data into state database system, supervising classroom volunteers, attending meetings, and participating in professional development.

College Transitions Instructor/Coordinator
Location:  The Learning Source at Red Rocks Community College

Role and Responsibilities

The Learning Source Program Coordinator will be responsible for instruction and day-to-day oversight of The Learning Collaborative program, in partnership with Read Rocks Community College. The Learning Collaborative is a College Transitions program that provides adult learners with foundational Math and English skills needed to take college level courses. Successful candidates include self-starters that are organized, efficient and committed to continuous program improvement. Evening teaching will be required. Classes will be both in-person and hybrid.

This position will work with our Rural Programs Coordinator to develop and instruct English Language Acquisition classes in partnership with Buena Vista Public Library and with the Upper Arkansas Workforce region. Classes will be in-person and hybrid/remote. Evening teaching will be required.

School-based Family Literacy Lead Teacher
Location: Cherry Creek Schools Various Sites

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Learning Source is seeking applicants for Family Literacy Lead Teacher position in the Cherry Creek Schools. The successful applicant oversees the learning center and is responsible for adult student assessment (CASAS and TABE) placement and instruction, as well as general volunteer management. The teacher also provides parenting workshops and coordinates PACT (parent and child together) and Two-generation activities in coordination with the school staff. Adult instruction will be a combination of English language and/or adult basic education/career skills preparation.
